The couple, both 85 years of age have loved and dreamed of one another for 5 decades. Henderson and Davis married as teenagers and had four children; they later divorced in 1964, but stayed in contact after moving on. However, 50 years later they have reunited and decided to marry each other again. Their daughter encouraged her parents to rekindle their relationship, after Davis’ wife passed away. Davis states “You don't think people are going to get married at this age. We're just thankful we've lived this long and that we're still here. We have a lot to be thankful for.”

Earlier this year, a couple reunited after 60 years and wed at an assisted living complex. They dated in the early 1950s while going to college, but eventually parted ways. They both married separate spouses and had three kids each. The twosome began catching up after their marital partners died and state “It didn't take long for the spark that had survived for 60 years to burst into flames”.
