Lady Gaga will make her film acting debut in the second installment of the "Machete" film franchise in a casting choice alongside the likes of Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. Little is known about the role, which is likely to be a cameo or smaller film appearance.

On the eve of the Olympics opening ceremony around 60,000 people packed into London's Hyde Park for a concert to mark the Olympic Torch Relay finale on Thursday (July 26). The all day event featured performances from acts including The Wanted, Mark Ronson, Katy B and Dizzee Rascal. As well as the music acts, the crowd also got to see the final torchbearers of the day carry the Olympic Flame onto the stage, and light the Olympic Cauldron.

Bristol Palin will be back in her dancing shoes. The daughter of the former governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, will return to U.S. television for the all-star season of Dancing With the Stars. She will be joined by some other familiar faces including Kirstie Alley, Pamela Anderson and Joey Fatone.
