International efforts to stop the killings in Syria are going nowhere.

The crackdowns involved heavy shelling in Homs, Deir al-Zour and Idleb, while Syrian army tanks have reappeared after disappearing for a few hours during the tour organised by Syrian authorities for the Turkish ambassador to Damascus, accompanied with journalists.
