Guinea Bissau's military says it has arrested the prime minister after a coup.

Troops had attacked the home of Prime minister Carlos Gomes junior on Thursday.

The army says it was forced to intervene to stop Angolan troops from entering the country, after Mr Gomes had signed a secret military deal with Angola.
