British tabloid newspaper News of the World made all the wrong headlines in past when it apparently hacked the phones of celebrities and politicians.

But the newspaper has now been accused of hacking into the phone of a murdered British school girl Milly Dowler, shortly after she went missing in 2002.

David Cameron, the British prime minister, has urged police to "investigate vigorously" the new allegations.

Now, the teenager's family has joined the long queue of politicians and celebrities seeking justice from News International, the owner of the tabloid.

Al Jazeera's Victoria Eastwood reports.
