Japan is in the grip of a nuclear emergency as it struggles to come to terms with the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami.
Cooling systems at three reactors have been damaged by the quake. Sea water is being frantically pumped into the plant to cool the reactors, but the government is warning of a partial meltdown.
