A committee considering whether to split the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, has submitted its report to the interior ministry in New Delhi.

The recommendations will be made public in one week.

If the committee agrees, Andhra Pradesh will be split, and a new state - Telangana - will be formed, covering what today is northern Andhra Pradesh.
