The Pakistani government and international aid agencies have been criticised for their slow response to the flood disaster response, leaving room for local Islamic charities to step in and help those suffering.

Some of them have links to groups banned by the government.

But as Zeina Khodr reports from Karachi, what matters for flood victims is not who they are getting help from but that they are getting any help at all.
