Theo Epstein's Stalker Arrested - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Celebrities are the picture of attractiveness and perfection, however that's what also make them a target for stalkers. This week, a woman was arrested for allegedly stalking Chicago Cubs general manager, Theo Epstein. The female, Kathleen Kearney, originally from Massachusetts followed the former Red Sox general manger to Chicago and was caught by police near Theo’s home, saying she was hoping to invite him to go to church.

Kearny, a 44 year old Harvard-educated former librarian reportedly obtained Epstein’s address on the internet, went to his Chicago home and spoke to his wife. She later returned to the residence and called out to Epstein who ignored her and called police.

Another celebrity had a similar encounter this month. Usher called 911 to report a female stalker, trespassing right outside of his door. Usher told the emergency operator “I don’t know this woman, she’s obviously a fan of some sort. This young lady apparently is a bit delusional”. As police escorted her away from the residence, she repeatedly claimed to be Usher’s wife and was brought to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
