“I am sure that the people of Gujarat are looking for a government that treats everyone equally” said Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi while speaking at a rally in Gujarat. Sonia Gandhi said that only Congress can provide such a government. “The Congress-led UPA at the centre had sent crores of rupees to the state of Gujarat under various schemes like rural and urban development, health, education and housing. But it seems that no one is benefitted by those funds. The state government did not use these funds properly and as a result people are facing troubles” said Sonia Gandhi. Congress frames policies and implement those without any discrimination claimed the Congress leader.
