A sombre ceremony for the victims of an Indonesian military plane crash that killed 11 people.

All seven on board and four people on the ground died when the aircraft crashed into a Jakarta suburb on Thursday.

The deputy chief of the Indonesian Airforce says the cause of the accident is still under investigation and he expects to have the results within three months.

Indonesian newspapers condemned the accident.

This resident complains that many of the country's planes are not fit to fly.

Air accidents are common across the sprawling Indonesian archipelago.

In May, a Russian passenger jet carrying 45 people crashed into the side of a volcano. No survivors were found.
