Moncton Fire department responded with few vehicles to a fire call at McDonalds 900 Mountain road at 12:25pm. Ladder truck arrived and the rest were cancelled off.
A ground hog was hit by a vehicle on Kilam drive and a RCMP Officer found it laying there and it was still alive and suffering, van parked to protect the animal and
DNR was called but the Officer shot it to put it out of its misery. So if you heard a gun shot around the Coliseum area at noon hour today , it was putting down the ground hog that was badly injured.
