Many Codiac R.C.M.P. Officers responded to a robbery at the Petro Canada 2600 Mountain Road Magnetic Hill around 12:20 P.M. A male walked up to the drive thru window and said he had a gun, no weapon was seen, and then the man took off with a cash box behind the Petro Canada headed towards the Casino. Witnesses could see the man trying to get away before Police arrived on scene, but the snow was so deep and he was having a hard time. Officers were in back of the business waiting for the Police dog to track the suspect of crime and other Officers were setting up perimeter. About 15 minutes later a female Officer arrested a male on Casino Drive which is right behind the Petro Canada. Police dog arrived and started tracking where the man was last seen, they could see where the cash box was put down in the deep snow, and the dog came out right where the man was arrested at 12:57 P.M. The S.O.C was cuffed and transported to 520 Main street Codiac R.C.M.P. cells. R.C.M.P. were searching the parking lot of the Casino for a vehicle the man might have had waiting to get away. Police found the cash box in the woods behind the Petro Canada, and it was still locked.
