French voters were out early as parliamentary polls opened Sunday.
President Francois Hollande's socialist bloc is likely to win a majority in the runoff vote.
The election is key to bolstering his position as eurozone countries battle over crisis policies and austerity.
And that's exactly what's on the minds of Parisian voters.
(SOUNDBITE)(French) VOTER CLAUDE BALOCHE SAYING:
"We really ask ourselves - where are we going? Because the financial troubles are huge and worrying, because they're not just in Greece but in lots of other countries - even France, with the budgetary hole that we have, it's tricky."
But others aren't as keen to head to the polls for the fourth time in eight weeks, causing low voter turnout.
The initial outcome is scheduled for the same time as Greek election results, where Greeks will decide if they accept the eurozone's billions in bailout and harsh austerity measures.
