Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, the man convicted of the 1988 bombing of the Pan Am flight over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, died on Sunday.

Megrahi, who will be buried on Monday, was found guilty of killing 270 people and jailed in 2001. He was later released on compassionate grounds in 2009 after doctors diagnosed him with terminal cancer.

But lingering questions - and doubts - over Megrahi's role in the bombing have divided families of victims on different sides of the Atlantic.

Al Jazeera's John Terrett spoke to the families of some of the people killed in the attack.
