SCRIPT: In a videotaped message posted on the White House website, U.S. President Barack Obama offered "heartfelt congratulations" to the Queen Elizabeth, the British people and the members of the Commonwealth for her 60 years on the throne.
"While many presidents and prime ministers have come and gone, Your Majesty's reign has endured," Obama said. "May the light of Your Majesty's crown continue to reign supreme for many years to come."
Hundreds of thousands of people cheered, sang patriotic songs and waved Union Jack flags outside Buckingham Palace on Tuesday in a spectacular finale to four days of celebrations honoring Queen Elizabeth's diamond jubilee.
