Practical test run with the hydrogen generator making H2 gas in an empty cat food container and some milk bottles with good results.
Normal tap water was used with a little bit of vinegar added to make it more conductive.
Powersupply transformer came out of an old UPS 240 / 16 Volts - 8 Amps,
connected to a 35 Amps bridge rectifier, and 1000 uF smoothing capacitor.
The electrolyses current settles at around 2 to 2.5 Amps
Ignition is done with a 12 Volts automotive ignition coil. Briefly touching 12 V dc will give a spark on the ignition wire.
A couple of bangs were louder than expected and made my ears whistle so I had to use earmuffs afterwards.
Aluminium plates x 7 makes a 7 plate hydrogen cell with 4 negative and 3 positive plates. see knalgas video [ 1 ]
