Haitian officials have said that more than a dozen people across the country have been killed in floods and mudslides in recent days following heavy rains.

There are fears of more deaths if new lakes created by landslides triggered by January's quake burst their banks.

The landslides had formed dams holding back rivers in the hills but rising river levels are now threatening thousands of people who live downstream.
