Students at Pennsylvania State University have demonstrated against the sacking of Joe Paterno, the coach of the college's football team, who was fired over an alleged sex scandal.

Paterno has not been accused of any legal wrongdoing but has been criticised for failing to do more to stop Jerry Sandusky, his former assistant, who is accused of molesting eight boys.
