Palestinians are marking five years since the death of former president Yasser Arafat.
Hundreds of people attended a vigil on Tuesday in the main square of the West Bank city of Ramallah, where Arafat is buried.
But such commemorations were banned in Hamas-controlled Gaza - where some activists from Arafat's Fatah party were arrested for holding rallies.
