The US government labelled him a terrorist and detained him at Guantanamo Bay, when he was just 12 years old.
Now, Mohammed Jawad is back in Afghanistan, celebrating the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr with his family.
Jawad was released from captivity last month, when a military judge ruled he had been forced to confess to an attack on US soldiers.
