India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is due to visit flood-devastated areas in the southern states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh on Friday. Aid agencies are now warning that millions of people face food shortages after the floods destroyed huge areas of farm land used to grow rice and other crops.
