Philippine coral reefs under threat

When it comes to marine biodiversity, the Philippines is regarded as something of a superpower.

But a new report from the University of the Philippines say the country's coral reefs are under threat from poaching, deforestation and illegal mining. According to the report, less than five per cent of the reefs are still pristine.

Jamela Alindogan reports from Verde island in the Philippines.
