Last year, more than 800 Haitians were killed in severe storms and hurricanes - weather made worse in part by the effects of deforestation.

The few trees that remain are the primary fuel source for most Haitians. But as Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo reports, the country's dwindling forests are leaving millions at the mercy of the elements.
