Relatives of those onboard a doomed Russian passenger jet that crashed in Indonesia have been told there are no signs of life at the scene.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 vanished during a demonstration flight on Wednesday. Forty-five people were onboard, including businessmen, journalists and Russian embassy officials.
