ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION.

French expatriates in London cast their ballots in a critical French presidential election at one of two polling stations in the English capital on Sunday (May 6).

Thousands of voters arrived at London's main French school in South Kensington to cast their votes.

Of 350,000 French expatriates living in London, more than 77,500 are registered to vote with the consulate, and many others may travel home to cast their ballots.

Election officials at London's Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle said they had hired an extra 50 volunteers since the first round vote a fortnight ago to deal with the expected higher turnout in London.
