STORY: The director and one of the stars of the Tribeca Film Festival award-winning film, "Una Noche" attended the awards ceremony in New York on Thursday (April 26) without two of the leading actors.

Dariel Arrechada shared the Best Actor in a Narrative Film award with his co-star Javier Núñez Florián, but Florián was not present to pick up his award.

"Una Noche" tells the story about two friends (Arrechada and Florián) in Havana, Cuba, who dream about defecting to the United States, and in a strange saga of life imitating art Florián and fellow co-star, Anailín de la Rúa de la Torre went missing while en route to the film festival.

The two were last seen at Miami's airport.

Representatives for the film said this week no one from the film has had any contact with the missing Cubans.

Director Lucy Mulloy, who won the award for best new narrative director said she was very shocked to hear about the pair's disappearance.

"I just hope that they're fine and that everything's okay with them. Yeah, I mean, obviously we've been really worried about them, thinking of them the whole time and this is just, would be so nice if they were here as well," said Mulloy.

"Una Noche," (One Night), which follows the journey of three Cuban teenagers trying to escape the poverty of their homeland to start a new life in Miami, also picked up the best cinematography award.
