They languished in legal limbo at Guantanamo Bay for years, but now a group of Chinese Muslim detainees may soon have a new home in the tiny island nation of Palau.

The US had dropped charges against them but feared they would be persecuted if they returned to China.

And so now Palau has agreed to take the men at Washington's request, as Al Jazeera's senior Washington correspondent Rob Reynolds reports.
