The Israeli government has decided to legalise three West Bank settlements built during the 1990s.

The move angered Palestinian officials, who accuse Israel of sabotaging hopes of peace and a two-state solution.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his administration was merely following "the decisions of past governments".
