Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Gala Las Vegas Aria Resort. Ozzie Smith, Ahmad Rashad and Connie Chung were among the celebrities who walked a star-studded red carpet April 30 at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas before the exclusive gala at the 11th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational (MJCI). Celebrities and invited guests gathered for Michael Jordan's signature MJCI event to party for a performance by Cedric the Entertainer and private concert by NE-YO. The celebrity-amateur tournament at Shadow Creek golf course will take place March 29-30 with a celebrity only scramble on March 31 – April 1. Proceeds from the charitable tournament will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, UC San Diego Nevada Cancer Institute, James R. Jordan Foundation, Opportunity Village and Cats Care, the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats' charity arm. Since its inception in 2001, MJCI has raised more than $6 million for charity.
