Defence refuses to free 3G spectrum for CDMA players

The defence forces have again rejected the demand to release third generation (3G) spectrum for CDMA operators thereby ending the possibility of the government carrying out auctions of these airwaves. Reliance Communications (RCOM), Tata Teleservices and Sistema Shaym offer mobile services on the CDMA platform.
