The Enjoyment of Fear presents the first in a series of limited edition 7“ singles (also available in digital format) released on Electronicat’s (Fred Bigot) own label ‘No School Today’. The track is a collaboration between Bigot himself and the legendary Kid Congo Powers (Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds, The Cramps, Gun Club, a.o.), adding another entry to the already prolific discographies of the two artists. Here we have the familiar guitar/bass combo of Electronicat, offset by swirling and repetitive pianos reminiscent of ‘? and the Mysterians’ and Kid Congo’s drawling incantation proffering his clever musings on the subject of fear, creating an alluring, witty and glamorous piece of rock and roll.
