Despite an Egypt-mediated cease-fire between Israel and militant
groups that went into effect early Tuesday, Gaza militants fired a
Grad-type Katyusha rocket toward the western Negev. The rocket struck
a residential area in the town of Netivot, with one person lightly
wounded and eleven people treated for shock. IDF Southern Command
chief Maj.-Gen. Tal Russo said that the army does not know how long
the ceasefire with terrorists in Gaza would last.
