And on Wednesday, Taiwan's defense ministry confirmed that an air force officer had been arrested for spying. He was allegedly passing defense information to the Chinese regime. The officer worked in a ground control center in northern Taiwan. He reportedly gave the Chinese regime information about Taiwan's early warning radar system.
But the defense ministry says that the damage is not as severe as rumored. Taiwan has improved its ability to detect spies after last year's case of espionage by a high-level army general.
