From the man behind Lady Gaga's style - comes this edgy show at Paris Fashion Week.

Mugler Creative Director Nicola Formichetti delved into the archives of the legendary French fashion house in his quest to revamp the label.

Known for his aggressive designs, he unveiled a catwalk inspired by the far east and insects, like the Mugler collection from 1996-7.

Backstage he explained his inspiration behind the range.

SOUNDBITE Mugler Creative Director Nicola Formichetti, saying: (English)

"Thierry Mugler's collection from '96, the Insect collection, and I wanted to incorporate that somehow but in our way and so we kind of mixed these two Asia and insects together so we created this kind of weird, new breed of woman that might, like, sting, you know?"

Models were sent down the runway in powerful-but-rounded shoulders and skeletal-like designs.

Later in the show, asymmetric hats that hung past the shoulder gave a bug-like appearance to the models.

If you like what you see, there's plenty more - Paris Fashion Week continues until March 7.
