Lohan gets good marks, Adele gives the finger on stage

Lindsay Lohan earned rave reviews from a judge on Wednesday (February 22) as the actress attended yet another probation progress hearing. For the third time in a row, Lohan has completed her required community service and therapy sessions. She has just one more hearing set for March 29, after which she will be placed on informal probation.

Adele continued her awards sweep at the BRITs - the U.K.'s version of the Grammys, winning two awards. But the singer made more headlines for extending her middle finger while on stage, after producers cut off her acceptance speech for album of the year. Adele later apologized, saying she was sorry if she offended anyone, but she felt offended by the "suits."

Phil Spector's appeal has been stalled. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the murder conviction of the legendary music producer - who argued that his constitutional rights had been violated at his trial. Spector was convicted of second-degree murder for the 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson.

Finally, Helena Bonham Carter was made a 'Commander of the Order of the British Empire' by the Queen. The actress - who played the monarch's mother in "The King's Speech" - was honored for her services to drama.
