Malaria is endemic in Sierra Leone.

4,000 nets were distributed in a series of villages in the Malen chiefdom in Pujehun district, in the east of the country. This is a rural area in dense tropical rainforest. The distribution will achieve blanket coverage of all sleeping spaces.

The chiefdom is divided into 10 sections containing 45 villages. The sections targeted with this batch of nets are: Taukunor, Korwa, Bahoin and Seijeila.
