British designer Alice Temperley showed her "Renaissance" collection at London Fashion Week on Saturday (February 18).
A grand hall decorated with old portraits set the scene for a series of garments inspired by opulence.
Temperley drew on religious art from the 18th century for the collection, which was evident in the colour, cut and fabrics - from draped tabard-shaped dresses, to fabrics of jacquard and taffeta and a rich colour palette, including gold, red and turquoise.
Brazilian designer Daniella Issa Helayel also showed on Saturday.
She began with 70s style print dresses teamed with leggings in the same fabric, then elegant evening wear began to emerge. Long fitted gowns in bright red, green and blue wouldn't have looked out of place at the finest red carpet event.
The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine is often seen in clothes by both designers.
