Two Russian cosmonauts based on the International Space Station have ventured out to perform vital work on the structure.
The six-hour spacewalk was scheduled to begin moving a 14-metre crane to the Russian side of the space station.
The work also included fitting shields to protect the Russian modules from the threat of space debris.
