Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping began the first full day of his visit to the US yesterday. He was hosted by US Vice President Joe Biden. The morning began with meetings in the White House, including a meeting with President Obama. Xi went to the State Department and the Pentagon. He also met with a group of US businessmen. And he ended his day with a dinner hosted by Biden in the Naval Observatory. Many reports have dubbed this trip a "getting to know you" visit. Xi is tipped to become leader of the Chinese Communist Party later this year.
