Priyankla Gandhi then continued “For the past 22 years you have been witnessing something different. The leaders approached you in the name of caste and religion and sought votes promising things targeting a particular caste or religion; damaged secular harmony.They also tried to betray you raising religious issues. What happened to your state? For the past 22 years while all other states have been surging ahead, Uttar Pradesh slipped backwards. No development took place. The Central policies and funds did not reach you”.
“Now you belong to Gauriganj constituency. Previously you were in Jagdishpur. Don’t go far, just analyse the performance of the MLA of Gauriganj. What did he do for the development here? I heard that he has been constructing a luxurious bungalow for himself. Someone stopped me on my way and complained that fertilizers are not available. I asked why it is so. He told me that MLA makes the fertilizers available for only a handful of people” added Priyanka Gandhi.
