Tibetans-in-exile living in India are staging a protest play.
In it, they depict atrocities allegedly committed by Chinese security forces against Tibetan protesters.
A series of deadly clashes erupted in China's Sichuan province last week.
Tibet's government-in-exile in Dharamsala said police were shooting at hundreds of protesters, killing six and injuring more than 60.
They have called the acts gruesome.
The Tibetan activists played the role of police and of a protester who was shot.
A small audience gathered to watch.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) A TIBETAN ACTIVIST, TENZIN TSUNDU, SAYING:
"There is a tension, a constant tension, that is happening in Tibet. It really shows how the Chinese security, the Chinese government is insecure of the position in Tibet and how the Tibetans are continuing to demand for the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet. This is tension that is going on today, in daily life. What we saw today (in the protest play) is a reality of Tibet."
The latest spate of violence is a reminder of underlying ethnic tensions between Tibetan communities in China and Chinese authorities.
The ethnic Tibetans accuse Beijing of stifling their traditions and religious freedoms. China on the other hand, says it has ended feudalism and brought development to the backward region.
