General Assembly, the Islamic Republic agreed to release two American hikers after two years in prison.The Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said paid $1 million for each hiker to ensure their freedom. Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer arrived in Oman where they were greeted by their families. The Sultan of Oman also paid $1 million for the third American hiker Sarah Shourd who was released last year.
