The Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute reports that Matza exports are down 20% this year compared to 2010. December 2009-January 2010 saw matza exports of $8.4 million, whereas in December 2010-January 2011 only $6.7 million worth of matza was exported. IEI Director Avi Hefetz attributed the drop-off in exports to the strong shekel and higher prices for flour.
