New parenting course becomes law

Views 3

A new Law is encouraging first time parents to take a course in parenting. New parents are not obligated to take the course but those who take part will receive credits in their tax returns. The initiator of the law, MK Dani Danon of the Likud Party said,"Most cases of abuse and death among children occur as the consequence of the faulty care provided by parents in their childhood." He added, "How many times have we spoken about crazy stories that make us question who we allow to become parents," The new law requires first time parents to receive training and will ask all parents to take the course even though it is not compulsory, half extra tax credits will hopefully be the incentive needed to sign up all new parents. The course will be around 10 hours and will aim to equip parents with skills in education, health and responsibility.
