Beit Yehonatan stands another day but for how long? The Jerusalem Municipality and the Police were supposed to coordinate the eviction process at the seven-story Jewish home in the East Jerusalem enclave of Silwan, but that never happened. The house is a flashpoint of the delicate political situation in the capitol. The Jewish group 'Ateret Cohanim' built the home in 2004 without a permit. Representatives for the organization say if the city evacuates Beit Yehonatan, it must also get rid of illegal homes built by Arabs.
