The regional World Bank chief said on Wednesday that the Palestinian economy has an incredible potential that could be unleashed if there is mutual cooperation with Israel. The official made the comments a day after a high-level World Bank delegation inaugurated a sewage storage facility in a rare trip to the Hamas-ruled Gaza strip. The facility took 3 years instead of the expected 9 months to complete, due to the frequent flare-ups of violence that made it difficult to get construction materials into the Gaza Strip. 11/06/08
