Jewish Agency staff on Monday were assisting five elderly Jews to leave the battle stricken town of Gori located on the south Ossetian border where hostilities continue between Russia and Georgia. Over the weekend the Jewish Agency assisted 200 Jewish residents of the town to travel to the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, where Agency staff members are processing requests of Georgian Jews to make aliya to Israel.
