Disinformation has played a major role in the Israeli Palestinian conflict with many foreign networks failing to give accurate reports of incidents in which Palestinian civilians were killed, more than often blaming the IDF for the deaths.Israel on its part is usually quick to condemn or accept the blame in instances where innocent civillians are accidentally killed.  Perhaps one of the most famous  relates to the controversey surrounding the death of the 12 year old Palestinian child Mohammed al-Dura in September  2000  in Gaza.
