And in a follow up to a previous story, the pandas "Xingrong" and "Xingya" have taken one step closer to the wild. The two are a part of a group of six pandas bread in captivity that are destined for "Panda Valley" -- an enclosed forest reserve that will serve as their home.

They've just completed a final round of medical examinations and will be the first of their group to be released. It's one step closer to bringing these magnificent creatures back from the brink of extinction.
